Grass Fed Beef:      At this time the demand for our grass fed beef is exceeding our ability to supply it; so we are not currently offering any type of bulk purchasing options (quarter, half, or whole cow).

Through 2009, all of the girl calves that are born on the farm (14 out of 24 in 2008, 17 out of 31 in 2009) have been added to our breeding herd when they are old enough to have calves.  We are approaching the maximum herd size that our farm can sustain, and when we get to that size, all of the calves will go into the meat producing herd.  The effect of this will be to  dramatically increase our meat production in a short time period.

If you are interested in bulk purchase, please join our email list and indicate “bulk purchase” in the Area of interest on the form.

Pastured Pork:       Since we raise our pigs in batches, it is possible that we will have available pigs for bulk purchase.  Our terms are as follows:

Whole Pig                            $3.75/lb of hanging weight plus processing costs

Half Pig                                 $4.00/lb of hanging weight plus processing costs

Hanging weight for a whole pig will typically be between 175 and 250 lbs.

Processing costs are in addition and will be range between $250 and $350 for a whole pig (1/2 of that for half pig) depending on the size of the pig, how you want it wrapped (butcher wrap or cryovac) and how much meat you want smoked or how much sausage made.

Free Range Chicken (Pastured Poultry):      Our normal price for the 2010 season is $5.25/lb of dressed weight.  Birds will likely weigh between 3.5 to 5 lbs, depending on the breed of bird and the time of year.  If you contract for 10 or more birds to be delivered over the season, the price will be $5.00/lb.  For 20 or more birds the price will be $4.75/lb.
